Bionic Tooth

I am now the proud owner of a bionic tooth. Since this is my first crown I am fascinated by the feel of it in my mouth. For some reason it feels superior to my other teeth in every way. Almost as if it holds secret powers… And while that thought was running through my head on the drive in this morning I wondered why it couldn’t be the case. I’m no scientist but I would think that a tooth would be a fairly simple body part to enhance.

No moving parts that need to connect up to the main operating system and the functions are pretty basic. My future teeth would all have specific tasks that could be tongue or bite pattern activated. Maybe a little built in breath spray perhaps. Or some adjustable rubber inserts that could be raised before sleep for those of us who grind their teeth. And as technology advances so would Future Teeth.

A noise canceling tooth that would make snoring annoying for the person gasping for air and not those around him or her. An iTooth that would play your music directly into your bones. I don’t know where I’m going with this but I’m an idea man and this is just what I do. Sorry, I just lost my train of thought again as I ran my tongue across my super smooth new tooth armor. It’s like I’m petting it with my tongue. I can’t leave the thing alone and it’s much more entertaining than writing this morning so I’ve got to go.

OK, I think an iTooth is brilliant. I want one.

What about a spidey tooth, that would begin to vibrate or tingle when it sensed any sort of trouble.
I think you have some great ideas. They are installing something into our mouth. If you are going to go to the trouble, why not go a bit further and include some sort of nanotechnology for the better good?

I think you’re coming dangerously close to, gulp, dental masturbation.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

  4. Dental masturbation requires vibrating teeth…
