So me thinks that the iMac is finally beginning to show its age as it begins to randomly screw things up. Purchased in 2006 this thing has worked like a champ for almost six years and has outlived five of its windows based brothers. I’m not going to wax Mac poetic right now but the thing has been tough as hell and not given much trouble at all. I wouldn’t be using it at all as I am ninety percent iPad but the pad isn’t a full computer and the shortcomings show especially when it comes to things like transferring files from a camera to wherever you chose to store them. Now the old iMac is even having problems dealing with those menial tasks.

It did some weird things with a bunch of the random Christmas shots but I think I got them all back. As you can see from that earlier post something is goofed up with the ones I tried to put here as well. I am going to fix whatever I can and then warn everyone else to get stuff they care about at least copied somewhere else in case of emergency. I am typing this as a way of taking a deep breath and calming down. All technology eventually wears out but knowing that doesn’t make it any less of a nut punch when it happens. I realize that last sentence was horrifying but I am not right in the head just now.
